Clergy Boundaries Training
RCOM Changes to Procedure Regarding Clergy Boundaries Training
In order to maintain standing, all clergy, ordained or commissioned (including retired) must receive Healthy Boundaries Training from a CCSW-approved provider every five (5) years. Clergy who have not had boundaries training since December 31, 2011, must complete training by February 28, 2018 for renewal of standing this year.
CCSW approves the boundaries training program offered by our partners: Brite Divinity School, the South Central Conference of the United Church of Christ, Hispanic Institute and the FaithTrust Institute.
The Texas Bible Chair Foundation has designed educational events through their Clergy Leadership Institutes (CLIs). Each CLI is tailored to fulfill one of the 16 Areas of Ministry Practice in the educational programs of both ordained and commissioned ministers:
Each year you may substitute one distance learning educational event for these face-to-face events. These will need to be vetted prior to the event by the BBA/LRGVD Committee on Ministry through the auspices of the TBCF.
The CLIs are designed for both ordained and commissioned clergy as well as men and women who are exploring a call to vocational ministry. Individuals currently enrolled in the Commission Ministry Education Program must attend the CLIs as part of their educational requirements. You do not have to have participated in any of the previous sessions to attend an upcoming CLI.
If you are interested in seeking ordination please contact the BBA Office at email@example.com or (210) 822-4345.
